We are currently experiencing intermittent connectivity issues. CrystalTech is aware of the problem and is working toward a resolution in a timely manner. We will be keeping you posted thought this forum as information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience.

It appears to be not a connectivity issue, it appears to be a DNS issue. I can reach all my sites just fine on the IP address.

Please check your DNS servers.

Also I would appreciate another site that is not hosted on CT for information purposes when these issues come up.

One of the worst days for this to happen on - CyberMonday!

Is there anyway I can go in to my site's control panel and do a redirect from my domain name to the IP address so my visits can see my site?

It also appears that thousands of people are calling the tech support number right now and it is overloaded - you might consider some sort of fail-over to a prerecorded message telling us what is up for those trying to call in the future.

I hope you called every tech person in to work on this issue. This is a big day for the internet a lot of us are losing money by the minute.

drumat, I think that's in essence what the DNS routing does, and that part of the CT system seems to be what is affected... I ran tracerts and got hung up at either 216.119.107.21 or 216.119.107.1, both within CT's DNS routing.

HTH,

James

When Tracy spoke of connectivity issues above she made it some like their backbone carriers are down and not the DNS servers.

Is there an IP for webcontrolcenter.com, so that my clients can try to access their smartermail by using http://mailserver.IPaddress.com

thanks

Our dedicated boxes non-dbf pages appear to work, but all database driven content is down.

PLEASE alert us as soon as the problem is resolved and please explain the problem.

Tracy, it is coming up on 1.5 hours since your first post - can you update us junkies at least on the .5 hour even when you don't know anything?

Half on hour on Cyber Monday is like a month in normal time. :)

Looking forward to finding out what happened.

And it seems like 5 years now we have been asking for a way to get updates..    such as a non CT hosted alternate site, etc.

I dont think the phone was busy from calls although that would be likely.  I think the network was down and the phone system runs on the network.  I didn't get a busy signal..  I got a network error message.

Sites are up..  wait, some are up.  My phone is ringing off the hook...  can't wait to hear what my customers want, besides credit.

So my site is back up. Do you think all the emails send over the last 2 hours will be lost?

I am expecting some important documents. What should I figure would happen with those?
