Why I hate c#, regular expressions and htaccess:

RewriteRule ^(.*)\.bob$ $1.html --- wtf !!!

See if it helps if it's broken down

^ = start of string
(.+) = matches any character one or more time and "captures" it for later use
\. = match a single period (the slash is to "escape" it, since saying just "." will match any character like above)
bob = match the word bob
$ = end of string

the second part, "$1.html" says "take the first capture and appened '.html'" to it

more and more boxes :)
Currently we're working on pushing mod_rewrite to all CF8/ .net intermediate and above.

Thursday we should be done, but today about 50% of them are usable. if you have cf8 / .net int or above, on thurs you should have the ability to utilize .htaccess.

edit - woops
thursday :0 not tomorrow ;P

Will this become available on the older ASP/ASP.NET 1.1 plans?

right now I don't believe there are any plans for .net 1.1, only the newer boxes will have it.

Would it be possible for me to move all of my sites to newer boxes then?

How do I create a subdomain?

Example:
mysubdomain.domain.com

mysubdomain.domain.com

let me start by saying that I haven't tested this, but I would think the syntax is pretty much the same as if you were redirecting a secondary domain:

Code: [Select]
#
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} mysubdomain.domain.com
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !mysubdomainfolder/
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ mysubdomainfolder/$1 [L]
I'm sure someone will correct me (and smite me) if I'm wrong...

Yes!  It appears to be working correctly.  Thanks, again!
