George,

Apologize for the delayed response.

This typically is a permissions issue as you hinted at.  WordPress and Windows sometimes don't play the best together.  One of the common arenas where problems arise is where folders are written to by some type of action within WordPress.  What normally ends up happening is we temporarily update permissions on the IUSR for the wp-content folder to modify/write permissions, have the client make the necessary updates &/or uploads, then close off modify/write permissions for that folder.

We'd be happy to help moving forward.  Please let us know!

Hello,

I do not know much about the hosting company you mention however Newtek does support a variety of Windows hosting needs.  In particular, DotNetNuke.  I reviewed the DotNetNuke requirements on their site: http://www.dnnsoftware.com/docs/developers/requirements.html

We have Windows 2008 & Windows 2012 plans, with MS SQL 2014 that is sure to meet your needs.  You can view our Windows hosting plans here: http://webservices.thesba.com/windows-server-2012-webcontrolcenter/

If you have any questions, please reach out to one of our Technical Support Specialists at 602-263-0300 opt 4.

We wanted to make you aware of a pricing change related to our Comodo Standard SSL certificates, effective August 1, 2017.

Because of the benefits of SSL security, Newtek offers – and will continue to offer – heavily discounted SSL certificates. If your website(s) sells products (i.e. ecommerce), collects data, or displays contact forms, it is important that you ensure that the transmission of client data is encrypted via an SSL certificate.

Beginning August 1, 2017, we will offer our Comodo Standard SSL for the following price, with deeper discounts for multi-year purchases:

Comodo Standard SSL

Standard Pricing                     Newtek Price

1-Year Certificate

$49.99                                   $29.99

2-Year Certificate

$89.99                                   $58.98

3-Year Certificate

$129.99                                 $74.97

Comodo Standard SSL certificates are issued for single domain names only, and includes 128/256 encryption strength and 2048-4096 bit key length.

Newtek also offers Comodo Premium SSLs, Multi-Domain SSLs, and Extended Validation (EV) SSLs, as well as a complete line of GeoTrust-brand SSL offerings.

Newtek previously offered Comodo Standard SSLs at an introductory price of $9.99 (1-year), $17.99 (2-year), and $23.99 (3-year), which will expire on July 31, 2017 at 11:59PM EDT.

Troy,

Apologize for the long delay in response.

I did test the URL you're looking to redirect and see it is not redirecting as you'd like.  We have multiple tools available for you to write your redirect.  Most notably, http://media.newtektechnologyservices.com/htaccess_kb/ & https://help.webcontrolcenter.com/kb/a1743/_htaccess.aspx

We do have an in house development team who can look at this for you as well.  Feel free to open a ticket to start the process.

I suggest you a perfect guide to learn about WordPress filters and hooks >> http://docs.presscustomizr.com/article/26-wordpress-actions-filters-and-hooks-a-guide-for-non-developers

Also, I would like to recommend a book “Professional WordPress Plugin Development” by Brad Williams >> https://www.amazon.com/Professional-WordPress-Plugin-Development-Williams/dp/0470916222

Photoshop is one of the perfect software for this purpose, but it’s paid. So, I prefer GIMP because it is free and very easy to use. It allows every feature like Photoshop and perfect to manage all projects of web design.
